Esbon, Kansas is a friendly, peaceful community located in the heartland of the United States.  Our hospitable town is situated in western Jewell County just north of Highway 36.  Hunters are drawn to the land surrounding Esbon where there is an abundance of deer, pheasant, and turkey.  Water sports can be found a short drive away at Lovewell, Waconda, and Jewell Lakes.

Esbon has received a Kan Step Grant for a new firehall.  This is a matching funds grant.  Volunteers will be needed when construction begins.
Volunteers are needed for the many phases of the construction: dirt work, cement, electrical, plumbing, construction of building, finishing work.  Volunteers could provide equipment, skid loaders, heavy equipment for dirt work, tractors with loaders, meals, drinks,
& snacks.   Other items that could be donated are:  sheet rock, wiring, paint,  kitchen appliances or other supplies.  Please feel free to contact an Esbon Fire District member.
Work has begun on the new Esbon Firehall.  If you would like to help or donate contact Dave Hastings, Randy Fogo or Kenny Mizner.
